Surely there are better, less self-promoting ways for Kathy Griffin to use her minor celebrity status to help prevent cervical cancer! As someone who used to organize large protests, I am fully aware of the shock value of this kitschy idea. And if it helps -- great! But honestly, wouldn't it be much better and longer-lasting if she brought cameras along with her on the Walk for a Cure, or perhaps do a media tour brining along actual cervical cancer survivors to tell their stories? I think so.
