Motorcyclist Dies On Ride Protesting Helmet Law In New York


This is sad...and stupid. I have been a motorcycli­st most of my life. I started riding when I was 13 and have always worn a helmet. Not wearing a helmet in this day & age is done out of sheer bravado and machismo. That being said, I DO support other bikers rights NOT to wear a helmet if they choose not to. However they should have to carry enough insurance so that if anything catastroph­ic happens, no one else will be financiall­y burdened by their choice.
